Residential
Hillside in Hillsdale
Project PDF
Steve and Kathy Bluestone began working with Bruce Coldham, FAIA in 2007 to design and build a home in the hills of the Hudson Valley. Once realized, the house had fulfilled not only their personal need for a home, but also has put Steve on a path forward with a relatively uncommon building material, AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete). Steve brought the material to the project, and championed its use as the Owner and General Contractor.
The house is net-zero energy as well as a Certified Passive House.
The following articles and links provide additional information on the project as well as Steve’s new venture. Feel free to contact him at: stevenbluestone@gmail.com
