C&H Architects Presents: Transforming Institutions

At NESEA’s Building Energy Boston conference, Thomas RC Hartman, AIA and Jesse Selman, AIA presented findings, speculations, and lessons learned from projects of institutional transformation.

Projects presented:

Colgate University’s Chapel House, a reinvigoration of a Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill building from 1959 to meet modern energy standards without impacting the feel of an interfaith retreat center, and

Williams College’s The Log, a gut renovation and rehabilitation to improve performance and functionality without changing the feel of a beloved college fixture.
