The Roost

C&H worked with the owner of The Roost to reimagine how the coffee shop interacts with its surroundings, providing an open, naturally ventilated space where customers can feel safe and comfortable.

The project also included accessibility upgrades providing ramp access to the interior, making the space fully accessible.

The old fixed windows were replaced with new large accordion windows to remove the barrier between the interior and exterior, providing an airy open feel to the dining space.

Traditionally inspired awnings were provided to protect the new windows from weather, creating new protected seating spaces at the edge of the sidewalk.  The exterior aesthetic was updated with the new awnings, windows and cedar facade.
